Pocketful of Poems is the creation of Veronica Ferrier, who writes all her personalised poems from her home in Pembrokeshire.
Brought up in a cottage on the coast, Veronica moved to Swansea to undertake her general nurse training, and worked in that area for 6 years after qualifying. However the pull of the sea proved too great, and she returned home to continue nursing locally, which she still does today.
Throughout this time, Veronica has written many poems to celebrate friends and family's special occasions, and is well known for poems written to commemorate the retirement of colleagues.
Whilst writing has always played an important part in Veronica's life, the development of a Pocketful of Poems has allowed her more time to devote to this personal passion.
When not at home with husband Anthony and their Springer Spaniel Ruby, she can be found exhibiting at wedding fayres throughout Wales, and was an exhibitor at the NEC National Wedding Show, Birmingham in October 2008.
Veronica has had articles published within the nursing fraternity, and is currently compiling a book of short poems.
(The photo of Veronica was taken whilst on holiday in Prague, and is not in her own tiny cottage!).
